About Waterfall Park

Waterfall Park is situated in the heart of Waterfall City adjacent to the Mall of Africa. Building on Johannesburg’s positioning as one of the largest man-made urban forests in the world and inspired by New York’s Bryant Park, Waterfall Park has three amphitheatres, a staging area, exhibition, market space and recreational spaces.

Key Aspects include:

Fountain: A wifi interactive choreographed musical fountain. The fountain is a zero level water feature consisting of 157 waterspouts/nozzles and 64 coloured lights.

Garden: The planted garden area is 3 868m² in size with the total lawns area of 5 715m².

Trees: 175 trees within Waterfall Park

Basement: The Waterfall Park is built on top of five basement storeys and will have a sunken ablution

Furniture: Custom landscape furniture will be made of concrete, poly-concrete steel and timber

Sculptures: The park will boast 8 interactive sculptures

Lighting: Professional lighting design has been applied as part of the landscaping and amenities
